    Question

ZDB data (serial data for German speaking libraries) will soon be delivered in MARC format and no longer in MAB format. How to handle this?

    Answer

Unfortunately ZDB data loading in MARC format is possible from Aleph 21 on, in Aleph 20 it’s not possible. A new program "Load ZDB Records in sequential format (manage-42-s)" and modifications on fix_doc_convtb programs will be implemented in one of the next Service Packs.

Please note that also conversion tables (fix_doc_convtb) for the conversion of MAB to MARC will be needed. These tables will not be provided by Ex LIbris.

    Additional Information

This is only valid for customers working with format MAB.
