    Description:
We are on version 15.5.2 and have been interested in Daniel Cromwell's message to the Aleph-NA list on 12/21/04. His institution has noticed that their Holdings Records for Serials are creating large amounts of CAT fields. This is happening when they create the pattern on the HOL record, push to the Serials module, link to a subscription and use "Open Items" ... often 6 new CAT fields are created on the HOL record. These extra CAT fields are causing problems in saving the HOL record because it exceeds the maximum record size. I know the maximum record size for a BIB record is 45,000 characters or spaces. What is the maximum record size for a Holding record?

    Resolution:
The 45000 applies to *all* Z00 doc records.
