    Question

Is it possible to have circulation fines for overdue items calculated in the following way?

$1 per hour during library open hours
    and
    $5 maximum per day
    and
    $30 maximum in total

So, for example, a patron could have an overdue item for 6 days, but only have a $5 max per day, adding up to a total of $30 maximum, but each overdue hour still calculated at $1.

    Answer

By specifying Fine Method #1 in tab16, column 14, you can have an hourly fine assessed for open hours only.

Tab16, column 23, is the maximum fine (total).

But there is no way to specify a per-day maximum.
