    Description:
I need to configure the Z39 server for an external customer to access. I will need assistance from someone to modify the z39_server.conf, z39_server_base.conf and the z39_server_base files

    Resolution:
    You should do this:

    (1) Check $alephe_tab/tab_base.eng to see if you have an xxx01PUB base. If you do, then
    (2) add it to the $alephe_tab/z39_server/z39_server_base file, taking its other values from the xxx01abc line.
    (3) Copy the z39_server_xxx01abc.conf file, saving it as z39_server_xxx01abcconf. (If you don't have an xxx01abc base, then use xxx01 base instead.)

That's all that's required for the basic configuration. (You don't need to do anything with z39_server_base.conf. That is just a model for creating z39_server_xxxxx.conf files.)
