    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
A question from one of our DBAs - Does the Aleph database have to be named aleph0? If not, what files have changes that need to be made in order to maintain functionality?

    Resolution:
Yes, you may change the database name from aleph0. ALEPH addresses the database only by the $ORACLE_SID. So from an ALEPH perspsective, you only have to change the $ORACLE_SID environment variabe in $alephe_root/aleph_start to accommodate a change in database name:

    setenv ORACLE_SID aleph0
