Records retrieved via specific logical base but not general logical base

    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Dedicated-Direct, Direct, Local, Total Care

    Description:
Certain records are retrieved from logical base XXX01WIS but not the general, public logical base XXX01PUB. This is the tab_base.lng entry for XXX01PUB:

    XXX01PUB XXX01 Web OPAC XXX01 N alldocuments not wst=(suppressed or deleted or circ-created)

    Resolution:
Change the URL in the OPAC from http://...&local_base=XXX01PUB to http://...&local_base=XXX01. If the records are retrieved, that means that they are indexed in the wst index, since the only difference is the "alldocuments not wst=(suppressed or deleted or circ-created)".

It may be that these records *did* previously have an STA field (and *were* in the wst index), but when the field was removed the index entries weren't properly removed.

Do this: duplicate the record, with exactly the same fields, and see if those new records appear in the XXX01PUB base. If so, move the holdings to the new record and delete the original.

If this problem also occurs on the Test server, run the manage-01 Service and see if that corrects the problem. If so, then schedule a run of manage-01 on Production.
