Question

Patrons who have forgotten their password have to contact the library to get the password reset.
Is it possible to set up a functionality from an Aleph Opac where the patron can fill out their email-address, and if this address is found in the Aleph patron database, then a new systemgenerated password is sent to this email ?

Answer

Unfortunately there is no such possibility. The standard workflow defined in the standard OPAC tables is to add a question e.g. for eye color which can then be used to resend the password if necessary. See also article "How to set the reset-password in Aleph Opac".
