    Question

Restoring table z07h to z07 results in much less records (75 instead of 209) - util E/5/2  5. Store/Restore History of Handled Doc Index / 2.  Restore - Dump Z07H to Z07 and Delete Oracle Trigger

    Answer

Since several records of z07h can refer to the same record - they are written for each indexing update with the help of a so called 'trigger' - restoring z07h to z07 will only create one record per record number.

    General Example:

3 entries in z07h are referring to record number 000050177:

    12-MAY-17        000050177  201705121434361                                         2
    USM50000050177

    12-MAY-17        000050177  201705121437025                                         2
    USM50000050177

    12-MAY-17        000050177  201705121437267                                         2
    USM50000050177

If restored, it will result in one single record in z07:

    Z07_REC_K  Z07_SEQUENCE                                    Z07_LEVEL  Z07
    ---------  ---------------  ----------------------------------------  ---
    Z07_HISTORY
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    000050177  000000000000000                                         1
