    Question

When rebuilding Oracle index z01x_id1 or z91_id1 using util A/17/3, we are getting a following error message. Why?

SP2-0310: unable to open file "z01x rebuild index 1.sql"

    Answer

There are some Oracle indexes of special type (so called domain indexes), those include both z01x_id1 and z91_id1. Such indexes cannot be rebuilt using util A/17/3. The error message above indicates that there was no action performed by Oracle for the given index.

If you need to rebuild such an index, you can either drop it (util A/17/4) and recreate it (util A/17/2) or you can optimize it using a special procedure initiated from $alephe_tab/job_list, e.g.

    W1 23:20:00 Y                      XXX01 optimize_z01x_context_index    XXX01
