Searching DOWN in OPAC and GUI; "internal error code ..." messages

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
The OPAC and GUI Search are not working.

The www_server log has 35 occurrences of the following messages:

    Oracle error: io_z05_write
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ktsircinfo_num1], [4], [67
    io_z05_write: REATTEMPTING TO WRITE Z05...

The clear_vir01 log from the last night has these messages:

    CREATE TABLE VIR01.Z05 (
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object

    Elapsed: 00:00:00.01
    05:00:07 aleph_admin@ALEPH1> CREATE UNIQUE INDEX VIR01.Z05_ID ON VIR01.Z05 (Z05_REC_KEY ASC)

    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01408: such column list already indexed

util a/17/14 for vir01 shows that the z05 Oracle indexes were missing. Trying to do util a/17/2 for z05 produces:

    aleph_admin@ALEPH1> 12:26:06 aleph_admin@ALEPH1> CREATE UNIQUE INDEX VIR01.Z05_ID ON VIR01.Z05 (Z05_REC_KEY ASC)
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ktsircinfo_num1], [4], [67], [209043], [], [], [], []

The Oracle alert_log has thousands of messages: "performing DML/DDL operation over object in bin".

    Resolution:
This seemed like KB's 8192-3143 and 8192-3639, which suggested restarting Oracle.

After restarting Oracle, we were able to do util a/17/1 for the vir01 z05 and searching worked.
