    Question

Does the presence of 'C' in field ALPHA trigger any special handling of the CJK heading?

    Answer

    1. Retaining the ALPHA field is the best practice.
    2. According to Development here are the programs where ALPHA="C" is important:

    (a) In ./xxx01/tab/edit_field.lbg, if ALPHA = "C", the delete_space_chi routine is activated.
    (b) The expand_doc_bnu_segment routine in ./xxx01/tab/tab_expand checks if ALPHA = "C".

Other than that, no special treatment was found for "ALPHA = "C".

    Additional Information

Except the "C" as explained above there are no other guidelines for the ALPHA sign.
