    Description:
When you do a "Total delete" from the Cataloging Nav Map/Tree or when you run p_manage_33, which records, exactly, are being deleted?

Does item-deletion affect the item history, loan history, or event records?

    Resolution:
The total-delete deletes the bib record and its indexes; any connected HOL records and their indexes; and any connected ADM records, their indexes, and the following bib/adm-related records in the ADM library:

    z14, z16, z18, z20, z22,
    z30, z36, z36h, z37, z37h, z38,
    z68, z71,z78, z79,
    z320, z321, z501.

[Internal note: The program which deletes the item-associated ADM records is ./com_io/io_delete_adm.pc.]

In addition, the associated z35*, z75, and z601 records have the document part of their record keys zeroed out, but are not deleted.

    * The change to preserve the z35 was implemented in July, 2005.

Item-deletion does not affect any associated records.

See KB 5726 in regard to running the p_manage_33 batch delete of bib (and associated) records.
