Unable to contact license manager

Problem Symptoms:
The installation of rc 2340 is failing with the message:
Micro Focus LMF - 010: Unable to contact license manager.
This product has been unable to contact the License Manager. Execution of this product has been terminated.
This product cannot execute without the License Manager.
Contact your license administrator or refer to the 'Information Messages' chapter of the License Management Facility Administrator's Guide.

Resolution:

1. Restart MF License Manager  (note:  you may need to do this as "root"):
> cd /etc
> ./mflmrcscript

You should get a response like "License manager started". 

If that fails, then ...

2. Reinstall Cobol using AIK

As root:
1) cd /exlibris/product
2) mv cobol5 bad_cobol5
3) cd /exlibris/ftp_from_exlibris/AIK21
4) ./ikit_menu
option 2-7 (Install Cobol software as root user)
