    Unable to contact license manager; error installing service pack ...

    Problem Symptoms:
    * Service pack installation resulted in errors below:

    Micro Focus LMF - 010: Unable to contact license manager.
    This product has been un able to contact the License Manager.
    Execution of this product has been terminated.
    This product cannot execute without the License Manager. Contact your
    license administrator or refer to the 'Information Messages' chapter of the
    License Management Facility Administrator's Guide.

    Cause:
    MF License Manager is not started

    Resolution:
    * Restart MF License Manager
    > cd /etc
    > ./mflmrcscript

    You should get a response like "License manager started".  If you don't, then it's not working.  See the article " Unable to contact license manager ".

    Note: the original info said "the preceding requires that you are logged in as root?", but we have found that this is not always the case....
