    Description:
I would like to upgrade our oracle 10.2.0.3.0 database and software to 10.2.0.4.0 and also to apply the Oracle patch for 10.2.0.4.0.
    My questions are:
1.Do I need a user/password to get the neccessary packages from the ftp site, and if yes can you please send it over as soon as possible?
    2. How much is the downtime for the upgrade and then for patching?

    Resolution:
You should connect to the Doc Portal and get the -- Cross-Products Information -- Oracle
"How to Upgrade Oracle Software and Database from Oracle Version 10.2.0.1/10.2.0.3 to 10.2.0.4 for Ex Libris Applications" document.

At the end of this doc there links which you can click on which will connect you to the ftp server:

Full Oracle 10.2.0.2/10.2.0.3 installation package for the standard Oracle installation performed in the directory /exlibris/app/oracle/product/102 can be downloaded from the following sources (the following are hyperlinks):
    • Oracle 10204 for SUN (full Quick package)
    • Oracle 10204 for Linux (full Quick package)
    • Oracle 10204 for AIX 5L (full Quick package)

This issue is still open and was escalated to Second line support for further analysis <2009-08-23 01:00:04>.
