    Description:
When we first set up Aleph v15.5, we gave staff accounts permissions to many different libraries whether they needed them or not because we just weren't sure. A lot of our staff accounts have permissions to the ext01, vir01 and usm01 libraries. Are permissions to these libraries needed?

    Resolution:
Looking at the distributed Z67 table (in usr00), I see that the only log-in which has permissions for VIR01 and EXT01 is "MASTER". If you have a "super-user", you should give that log-in permissions to these libraries -- but, in general, I think they are unnecessary.

Permissions for usm01 (usm50, etc.) are required for doing testing in the USMnn libraries. Users who might be doing such testing (in order to reproduce problems in USMnn) should have these permissions.
