    Problem Symptoms:
When I try to update my GUI configuration following a Service Pack installation, Version Check fails with a "Failed to read reply" error. The pc_server log shows this error:

    Execution error : file '/exlibris/aleph/a20_2/aleph/exe/pc_com_c0112.gnt'
    error code: 114, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11)

    Cause:
At this point in time, Version Control can handle a maximum of 400 files

    Resolution:
Because the GUI configuration files are now being distributed in several languages - English, French, Italian, German, Swedish and Danish - the limit of 400 may be exceeded.
You can eliminate the problem by removing language versions that are unnecessary in your institution.
