    Question

Does tab100 SHOW-USR-VERIFICATION=N prevent the display of the Pincode and Barcode Verification fields in the GUI Circ Global Patron Record display?

    Answer

Yes. SHOW-USR-VERIFICATION=N masks out the verification fields in the GUI Circ Global Patron Record display.

    Additional Information

SHOW-USR-VERIFICATION=N does *not* cause the z308_verification to be encrypted. The tab100 variable which does that is ENCRYPT-Z308. But when an encrypted verification is displayed in the GUI, it is automatically *un*encrypted and displays (unless SHOW-USR-VERIFICATION=N is set).

(The purpose of ENCRYPT-Z308 is to prevent unencrypted display of passwords in SQL results, etc. See KB 4512 ("Z308_verification and z308_encryption").
