We have set all the values for field 852 in check_doc_tag_text, but they don't show in the drop-down menu.

Resolution:
See Chapter 10 (pp.29-31) of the System Librarian's Guide - Cataloging (v20).

In xxx01/tab/check_doc_tag_text, you set the values for field's validation.
In xxx01/pc_tab/catalog/tag_text.dat you set the values for the drop-down menu (Ctrl+F8 Search Subfield options).

The check_doc_tag_text table can be used independently from the tag_text.dat table to check text validity for subfields without enabling the Search Subfield Options.

Ensure that the "check_doc_tag_text" program is listed in the check_doc table of the library's tab directory. The check_doc table lists all available checking programs.
