    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
The file-20 ("Patron Loader") (PLIF) job produces ""Error 0400 : key conflict" error messages.

    Cause:
The z308 (Patron ID) type 02 University ID number in the patron input record duplicated an existing type 00 number (which had previously been assigned by the system to another patron). (The system requires that the Z308-KEY-DATA be unique! Z308-KEY-DATA is bytes 3-257 of the z308_rec_key in version 22-up, and bytes 3-22 prior to version 22.)

    Resolution:
Change the type 02 (or type 99) records in the PLIF input file so that, rather than being just a number, they have a prefix which differentiates them from the system-assigned (type 00) numbers.

    Additional Information

Article 000018626 (p_file_20: "key conflict" after moving ssn from z308 type 00 to type 03) is similar.
