    Description

How does the file-90 Default Holding Code (049) work?

    Resolution

Field 049 in the BIB record is used in order to assign records to load to a specific sublibrary, collection, vendor etc.

    Example:

The records to load have either field 049$$aABC or field 049$$XYZ.

When loading records with code ABC the sublibrary for the items to create should be set to "WID" and the collection to "GEN", when loading records with code XYZ the sublibrary for the items to create should be set to "MED" and the collection to "HUM"

Entries in the following tables are relevant:

    xxx50/tab/tab_loader

    ABC                  MASTER50   GROUPCUVA  3 1 0 1 1
    XYZ                  MASTER50   GROUPCUVA  3 0 0 1 1

    xxx50/tab/tab_loader_def

    Z30-SUB-LIBRARY                ABC#######           WID
    Z30-SUB-LIBRARY                XYZ#######           MED
    Z30-COLLECTION                 ABC#######           GEN
    Z30-COLLECTION                 XYZ#######           HUM
