license_check [err]: Demo library xxxnn has more than 80k documents

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
The www_server is not responding. We see this in the www_server log:

license_check [err]: Demo library smt50 has more than 80k documents
    Error: License check failed, Exiting

    Why is this happening?

    Resolution:
The program reads through the demo libraries (viewable via the command "echo $DEMO_LIBS") and counts the z00 records for each demo library to see if any of them have more than 80,000 doc records. If they do, it issues this message and stops the server.

(It is a "license check" error only in the sense that no demo library is allowed to have more than 80,000 documents.)

Something was temporarily askew because smt50 was and is *not* in the $DEMO_LIBS list.

This message coincided with a particular www_server run. (It appears in only one log and *every* transaction in this log has the error.) When the www_server was restarted, the message went away.

    Additional Information

    License, error message, z00
