    Description:
Many of the sites I have talked to are using manage-18 for their ongoing authority updates. The ExL Authority docs always refer to manage-31 for this. Can someone give me the pros and cons for each and why most sites seem to choose manage-18 over manage-31?

    Resolution:
p_manage_31 is for LC authority records only. (It doesn't do MeSH, etc.)

In loading LC authority updates, p_manage_31 allows for the *deletion* of records (when LDR pos. 06 has "d"). p_manage_18 does not. Therefore, p_manage_31 is superior for LC records.
