p_cir_32 doesn't work for z309 table

Description:
We currently use p-cir-32 to remove patron ids from the z36h, z37h and z35 tables. I'm now looking at also using this service to remove patron ids from z309 (circulation logger) as well.

I've been running the service in our test database, with retain days from 290 to 150, but nothing appears to be happening. The output report shows up as blank. When I examine the xml output, there are only a handful of entries marked "section 8" which are all for entries of action type 25 (return of item that goes into transit) and all are also marked with an error message indicating the entry was filtered out and not scrubbed. A quick check of the database shows that these represent but a small fraction of the entries for that date range with that action type in that table.

Even allowing for the requirement that the transaction be closed before the patron ids can be removed from this table, I would have expected there to have been at least some closed transactions in this table by this point. After all, we have a number of short loan items, such as reserve materials and laptops which should have met this criteria. Thus, it appears to me that this process may not be working correctly for the z309 table. So, how can we clear patron ids from closed transactions in the circulation logger?

Resolution:
As described in KB 16384-18434, we suggest that you *not* use p_cir_32 for the z309 but instead run p_cir_78.

Corrected by rep_change 895 (V17); 512 (V18): The patron ID is removed from all the Z309's in the specified date range, regardless of whether the transactions are closed.
