    Description:
In running p_file_20 you see this message in the report file: "Number of records specified in the input file is not numeric." Why?

    Resolution:
This is $alephe_error_eng message 5024 which displays when it finds that the NO-ID, NO-ADDRESS, or NO-BOR field in the USER-REC segment of the input PLIF record is not a number. This could indicate that other fields in the record are off, resulting in these being off.

*You should use the xxx50 util f/2/5 PLIF utility to examine the file.*

In this case, these fields showed up OK in the util f/2/5, but an examination of the input file with "more" showed that they were " 1 1 2" when they *should* have been "010102". (It seems that the utility is changing the space to zero, while the program is not.).
All fields in the input record defined as numeric need to be left-padded with zeros; they can *not* contain any spaces.
