    Description:
    Since running p-item-06 will cause all the jobs in the XXX50 library to be backed up behind it I want to run it in the backgroud. What would the command be to run it in the background?

    Would it be this?

    csh -f $aleph_proc/p_item_06 ABC50 > & $alephe_scratch/abc50_p_item_06_yyyymmdd.log &

    Resolution:
    Yes. That command looks good. But I think it would be better to avoid running jobs which update item records (to prevent possible collisions).

      • p_item_05: zero results; no items listed
      • p_item_06 produces z30h for every item in database!
