    Description

ue_21 start fails in V22.1 with error message "Variable name too long" on SUN Solaris machines.

    Resolution

    rep_change 2130:
Description: ue_21 - Following rc #2029, the daemon job fails in Solaris 10.
A new variable introduced in rc #2029 for the daemon job ue_01 exceeds 20 characters and therefore is not accepted in Solaris 10.

Solution: This has been corrected. The name of the variable used to enable the running of the daemon job in several parallel processes has been changed from number_ue_21_processes to num_ue_21_processes.
If rc #2029 was implemented, i.e. the variable number_ue_21_processes was defined (in ./[bib_library]/prof_library) in order to run ue_21 in parallel processes, then the definition must be changed in the following way:

    Change from
    setenv number_ue_21_processes n

    to
    setenv num_ue_21_processes n

    Restart ue_21 daemon
