    Description:
    p_publish_04 seems to have run successfully. The z00p records which it has produced sometimes have data in the z00p_str field, but in other cases this field is null. Why is this?

    Resolution:
    As described in the Z00P.pdf document, the z00p_str field contains the published record if its length is less than 4000 bytes. If its length is 4000 bytes or more, then it is stored in the z00p_ptr field.

    The Z00P_STORAGE_TYPE field indicates which is used in a particular z00p:

    V = Stored in Z00P-STR
    C – Stored in Z00P-PTR

    Note: the z00p_ptr field is in CLOB format. See KB 16384-19057 for information on the use of "set long" to view the data in CLOB fields.
