    • Product: Alma

    Problem Symptoms:
A user was created as "Internal" in Alma, and now is included in the SIS input file.
However, the information can't be overlayed - the patron loader job says: ?User is not external?.

    Cause:
The Student Information Systems job will update the user once the record is defined as "external".

    Resolution:
Change user's definition from "Internal" to "External" with the Job "Update/Notify Users".

    Additional Information

    Other solutions:
    1. Delete the Internal user and upload the same user as External via SIS.
    2. Change Internal user Primary Id so it won?t match incoming External user <username>. In this case you will end up with two users ? internal and external.
