Description

My library can't add some process types in the Physical Item editor, but others in my institution can.
Why is that and how do I fix it?

Resolution

The Process type field in the Physical Item editor requires selecting a department to complete (the "At" drop-down field).
If no department is configured for the selected type, you will see "pageBean.selectedRequestDepartment (not listed)"

To fix:

  1. Go to Configuration > General > Work Order Types > Row Actions > Manage Departments and add a department to the affected types.

  2. Make sure you select the institution or the affected library in Configuration > Configuring: {institution or library name} at the top of the window.
For further instructions refer to the Configuring Departments section of the Work Orders and Departments documentation.

  3. Work Order Types can be configured at either the library level or institution level.
Configuring the department at the institution level applies the setting to all libraries, but the individual libraries can configure their own settings individually.

Additional Information

Consult the Configuring Departments section of the Work Orders and Departments documentation for more further information.
