Problem

We activated an electronic collection for search only in CDI, but search results in the discovery tool shows full-text availability in the filtered search

Solution

The Publish electronic records to Central Discovery Index job is sending 3 different files to the index. More information on this profile can be found here.

It might happen that the DB ID of the collection was added to the publishing file incorrectly. You can verify this if you download the holdings file.

Of course, this should not happen. And so far only individual cases of this problem are known. However, should it occur, we offer a quick and simple solution here.

It is not enough to run a full publishing or republish the entire index.

The collection needs to be updated, or even better deleted. Wait for the next publishing, this will remove the incorrect DB ID from the holdings file.

If you now activate the collection again for search it will not be included in the holdings file.
