We are due to start using automatic renewals soon. Will items that have become overdue in the past and started accruing fines be renewed automatically?
Answer
For automatic renewals the same rules are applied as for manual renewals. That is, your terms of use and block preferences are used in order to determine if a loan can be renewed or not.
So, if the patrons overdue limit and/or their cash limit is exceeded, the loan will not be renewed. But if these limits are not defined or not exceeded, the loan will be renewed.
