Clicking Back after adding a brief citation to a reading list changes status to Being Prepared

    • Product: Alma

    Symptoms

When you add a new brief record to a Reading List and don't save the Reading List (clicking Back instead of Save), the Reading List status changes from Complete to Being Prepared

    Replication Steps

    1. Go to Fulfillment>Course Reserves>Reading Lists
    2. Choose a reading list with a status of Complete and click Actions>Work On
    3. Click Add Brief to add a new citation
    4. Select a Citation Type and click Choose
    5. Fill in the required fields for the citation and click Save
    6. You’ll be brought back to the Edit Reading List screen; here, click Back
    7. Note that you’ll be brought back to the Reading Lists Task List, and you can see here that the status of the list has changed to Being Prepared

    Workaround

Make sure to click Save after adding a new Brief Citation and the list status will remain Complete; if a user does click Back and the list status is set to Being Prepared, manually update the list status in the Status field dropdown in the Reading List Information
