Alma may be configured to place newly created electronic portfolios within services linked to specific electronic collections in Alma.

Choices:

• Inventory Management--Alma points portfolios to a specific electronic collection id. These identifiers begin as 61-.
• Purchasing Platform--Alma accepts new order creation from various purchasing systems like Rialto, OASIS, or GOBI.

Examples of various Inventory Management setups

1. Place new portfolios in a specific Community Zone collection, portfolios link to the Community Zone upon creation.
2. Place new portfolios in a specific Community Zone collection, portfolios are local Institution Zone resources upon creation.
3. Place new portfolios in a specific Institution Zone collection, portfolios are local Institution Zone resources upon creation.

Examples of various Purchasing Platform setups

1. Accept orders from Rialto using Inventory Management setup #1
2. Accept orders either from Rialto or OASIS using Inventory Management setup #3
3. Accept orders either from Rialto or GOBI but use Inventory Management setup #1 for the former and #2 for the latter
