When opening the invoice from a search it's not possible to edit the invoice number as the field is not overridable. Is there a way to change the invoice number?

Answer

As long as the invoice is in status "For review" the invoice number can be changed when you open the invoice from the "In review invoices" task list and select the "Edit" button.
