Question

It has been noticed that anyone with role to view item records are also be able to view all personal information of the circulation operator who acted on the item, including home address, phone number, etc.

This is a privacy concern. Is there a way to restrict who can see operator's personal information?

Answer

It is possible to configure which elements of user information are revealed in patron contact pop-up boxes. The configuration process distinguishes between Staff and Public users.

Go to the User Management configuration menu (Administration > User Management Configuration > Configuration Menu), select Contact Information Pop-up.
