What is the exact reason why the IP address of their EZProxy server is needed when adding the Proxy to Alma in the Integration Profiles area?
Answer
It's needed so we will be able to prevent looping. Ex Libris is checking the request source IP and only if it is different from the proxy IP we will redirect using the proxy.
Question
What if we used a dummy/fake IP. Will this cause an issue?
Answer
A dummy/fake IP can be used and it will not cause any issues.
