    Question

Why is the brief level of a Community Zone record different from the brief level of the linked record in my Institution?

    Answer

The briefness of the community will be reflected when observing the record in the community scope.
When activating the record it will get the brief level according to the institution's algorithm.
Therefore, the search results based on the brief levels will never be the same between CZ and IZ.

The briefness of CZ records is documented here.

Note: there is a known issue with the calculation of the brief levels for CZ linked records - the briefness of the IZ record is sometimes showing the incorrect level. This will be fixed in Q2 2022.
