As journals host both paid and free content, it is challenging to display the thresholds accurately.

The KBART style guide for content providers instructs to display the Access Type in different rows (section 6.6.26), meaning titles may have multiple lines to display multiple access rights for different volumes.

That causes multiple rows in portfolios, even though for subscribers there are no coverage gaps.

Ex Libris is working on a development to manage these multiple lines in a way that several lines depicting paid and free volumes will be unified into one coverage statement.

In the meantime, the coverage statements will be displayed in different rows, as we receive them from the providers, sometimes without end dates and with overlapping coverage statements.

Some examples are in collections from Mary Ann Liebert, Annual Reviews and others.

This is an industry wide challenge in which the providers have been most cooperative, and we are looking together for creative ways to improve the display of the coverage and to make it as accurate as possible.
