Original Primo VE Accessibility Roadmap
The gradual sunset of the original UI is projected to be completed by January 2028. At that time, the NDE UI will become the only supported UI for Primo. During this period, we will remain committed to supporting customers and addressing critical accessibility issues where feasible and impactful. If you have questions about this roadmap or would like to discuss your organization’s accessibility needs or feedback that is not addressed here, please contact accessibility@clarivate.com

Configuring Original UI
Several common accessibility issues can be resolved locally through the in-platform customization options. Due to limited support for the Original UI, customers should address the following issues locally on their sites by following these steps.
Adjusting programmatic names
Aria-labels can be edited to provide a more succinct accessible name, especially for the advanced search form fields or the navigational banner icon buttons.
These issues can be resolved through customer configuration as described in Configuring Display Labels for Primo VE - Ex Libris Knowledge Center.
Page titles
The sign-in page defaults to an empty page title and is intended to be updated. This can be achieved by following the steps outlined in NDE UI Customization - Best Practices - Ex Libris Knowledge Center.
