Question
How to remove unused Java JDK from server ?
Answer
- SSH as 'dps' user.
- Identify the current Java JDK version Rosetta is configured to use:
ll /exlibris/dps/d4_1/product/local/java
- Identify the current Java JDK version the current Rosetta service is running from:
jps -v | grep -i jps
- When Rosetta service from step #3 is running from the same JDK folder found in step #2, then it's reasonable to assume that it's safe to delete any other 'jdk*' folder of other versions found in the server (found under '/exlibris/product/' folder).
The server might have 3rd party app/s running on the servers that uses Java JDK deployed by Rosetta SP and that isn't currently being used by Rosetta.
Please check for such dependencies before deleting any Java JDK.
