Why are more records processed than updated/deleted in the Summon Content Ingestion Report?

Why is the number of processed records greater than the total of updated and deleted records in the Summon Content Ingestion Report?

Answer

A recent improvement to the content ingestion process allows the system to detect the most recent version of a record and to not process or reload older versions. Our ingestion reports don't yet reflect this new functionality, so there may be a discrepancy between the total number of records processed and the sum of updates and deleted records. Please be assured that records are all being processed and loaded appropriately.
