Summon: Enhanced Autocomplete Feature
The Enhanced Autocomplete feature provides relevant and recent autocomplete suggestions from the following sources (if enabled) as users type in the search box:

Popular Searches (based on tracked data in Summon OBI):

Sourced across all Summon institutions.

Results from client’s institution are boosted.

Topics suggestions – Specific to institution. For more information, see Summon Administration Console: Topics.

Database Recommendations – Specific to institution. For more information, see Summon: Administration Console: Database Recommender.

Best Bets – Specific to institution. For more information, see Summon: Administration Console: Best Bets.
When enabled, Enhanced Autocomplete returns up to eight suggestions from the above sources in the following order: Topics, Best Bets, Database Recommendations, and Popular Searches.
Suggestions from Popular Searches display below the Topics, Best Bets, and Database Recommendations sections. Matches for the institution are given a boost.
Enabling This Feature
The Enhanced Autocomplete option under the General Settings in the Summon Administration Console enables this feature. By default, it is disabled. When enabled, it overrides the Standard Autocomplete feature. For more information, see Summon: Administration Console: General Settings.
