ACQ:for view only maintenance button greyed in check-in and history
- Article Type: General
- Product: Voyager
- Product Version: 7.2.1
Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 15174
Module: Acquisitions
Release(s) replicated in: 2000.1 and beyond
Server Platform(s) affected: Solaris/all
PC O/S (if this is PC specific): n/a
Browser type & version (if WebVoyage): n/a
Expected Results: Serials check-in view only privileges shouldn’t result in the Maintenance button being greyed out from check-in and history.
Actual Results: If your operator is in an Acq security profile with View-Only Serials Check-In checked, the Maintenance button on the Check-In and History screens will be greyed out for the operator.
The operator is still allowed to access Maintenance by clicking the icon in the bar on the right.
Workflow Implications: Operators may think they can’t access the functionality.
Replication steps:
In SA>Security>Acq/Serials Profiles>Profile Values for the profile in question, check View-Only Serials Check-In
Add the operator in question to this profile if it isn’t already selected
Log into Acquisitions>Serials Check-In and search for a title – note that when you bring up the component, the Maintenance button is greyed out. If you click on the History button, you’ll see that the Maintenance button is greyed out on this screen as well.
