ACQ:run time error 9/13 when delete publication pattern
- Article Type: General
- Product: Voyager
- Product Version: 8.0.0
Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-14881
Module(s): Acquisitions
Server platform(s) affected: Solaris/all
PC OS (if applicable): n/a
Browser & version (if applicable): n/a
Release(s): reported in 8.0; replicated in 5.0
Expected results:
You should not get run time error 9 or 13 in the Acquisitions client.
Actual results:
If you search for publication patterns using either Unused Patterns or Descriptive Name as search criteria and have only one or only a few hits, double click your pattern to retrieve it and then click the red X to delete the pattern, you will get a run time error 9 (just one hit) or 13 (a few hits) and the client will shut down.
The pattern in question is in fact deleted.
Workflow implications: Confusing for operators.
Replication steps:
Create a new publication pattern and close out of it.
Go to Search Publication Patterns, select Descriptive Name as the search criteria, and search for your pattern name.
In the results list, select your pattern and double-click to bring up the pattern screen.
Click the red X to delete the pattern.
--> if there had only been one result in the search you executed, you will get a run time error 9. If there had been multiple hits, you will get a run time error 13.
If there are a larger number of hits retrieved in the search, the problem does not appear to happen.
Resolution:
Fixed in the acquisitions client for 8.0.0.
