    Bulk Import is not creating a new MFHD for a bib that already exists

    Problem Symptoms

    • A new MFHD is not being created during bulk import
    • Location field/location subfield information is correctly set up in Sys Admin >Cataloging>Bulk Import Rules > Profiles Tab
    • Incoming records contain the location field/subfield

    Cause

    The checkbox "Create PO/MFHD/Item for existing Bibs" is not checked in the "Profiles" tab of the bulk import rule.

    Resolution

    Check this checkbox "Create PO/MFHD/Item for existing Bibs" in the "Profiles" tab of the bulk import rule.

      • Bulk Import ignores cutter subfield when the sub-fields for call number and cutter number are not adjacent
