Can item records be changed or removed with GDC?

Answer

• Global Data Change is capable of changing MARC format records.
• Item records cannot be changed using GDC, but starting with Voyager 9.0 they can be deleted as part of a record hierarchy.
• Item records can be edited and deleted via Pick and Scan.

GDC can delete all records, includingn item records, in a hierarchy (see Additional Information)
