    How do I enable users to email records from Webvoyage?

    Answer

    1. Navigate to /m1/voyager/xxxdb/tomcat/vwebv/context/vwebv/ui/<skin> and open webvoyage.properties.
    2. Find the stanza "Option to enable email functionality" and set option.email=Y. 
    3. Set the value for "mail.host" to localhost *, unless another server will be used to send email from webvoyage. **

    * If an smtp server other than the voyager server is used, the server used must not require authentication to relay mail from webvoyage.

    ** For versions 9.1.0 and over, set the mail.from= stanza to a valid email address.

    4. Save the file.

    Additional Information

    If email is not properly configured, users will see an error message "Your E-mail Request Failed!" when attempting to email the record.
