    Question

What is our Voyager training database and how do we connect to it?

    Answer

The training database -- often called "traindb" -- is a database instance that contains a set of test data (not your institution's data) and is provided by Ex Libris for testing and learning new features without impacting production. It is typically set up on the 80xx port series.

    • Set voyager.ini to point to these 80xx ports.
    • Use login: demo and password: demo to login to the clients.  You may create your own operator accounts in the traindb SYSADMIN client (default SYSADMIN operator password is EISI).

if you run into firewall problems (e.g., you can't connect to the clients), submit a ticket.
