How to stop the display of bib records associated with on-order items in the OPAC

    • Product: Voyager
    • Relevant for Installation Type: Multi-Tenant Direct, Dedicated-Direct, Local, TotalCare

    Question

Is there a way I can make the bibliographic records that are associated with our on-order items invisible in the OPAC?

    Answer

There are two ways to accomplish this:

    1)  You can set Suppress as the default for all your acquisitions orders in System Administration.  Select  Acquisitions → Policy Definitions and then your acquisitions location(s).
If the Order Location has the “OPAC Display of Temp Records” box UNchecked, all bib records for that location will be suppressed from the OPAC display.  If the Destination Location has “OPAC Display of Temp Records” box UNchecked, MFHD records will be suppressed from the OPAC.

    2)  Additionally, bibliographic and MFHD records can be edited directly in the Cataloging Client to suppress/unsuppress them individually.
